COVID-19 Updates

As we continue to monitor the situation with COVID-19 (Coronavirus) this page will be updated to let you know about changes affecting Grace Crossing. Follow us on social media for updates as well.
The Top 5 Things You Need to Know to Stay Connected with the Grace Crossing Family

Updated 06.04.2020
I’m Excited To Announce Our Return To In-Person Worship Gatherings On June 14!On that Sunday there will be two identical worship services at 9am and 11am. Since your safety and the safety of others is a top priority, we will arrange our worship space for socially distanced seating and provide a professional cleaning between the services.
We also recommend that masks be worn upon entrance and upon exit to the Grace Crossing Building and Worship Center. Some may choose to lower their masks once seated, but we will leave that to your discretion.
Our process for sharing the Lord’s Supper and receiving the Offering will be adjusted for safe distribution. We won’t be passing trays. Also, our bulletin information and Connect Cards are shifting to digital format and delivery.

While all on-campus, indoor Bible classes and offerings for Adults, Youth, Children and Nursery remain suspended, we hope you will take advantage of our online opportunities from the website!
Now, we know that everyone’s situation is different and that gathering in-person is a choice everyone will need to make for themselves. Since our church family members have a variety of ages, health conditions and levels of comfort, the Grace Crossing leaders want you to feel blessed to prayerfully do what you think is best. Some will feel ready to come back to public assemblies on the 14th and others will choose to wait awhile. They will join us online. We understand that – And that is ok! No guilt trips and no shaming at Grace Crossing! That is not who we are or what we’re about!
Keep in mind that on the 14th we will also be launching a new online Livestream broadcast of our worship assemblies for those worshipping from home.
Those are a few details and we will explain further as we get closer to the 14th. So, between now and the 14th, be looking for congregational emails, Facebook posts, a mailed letter and a “What To Expect” Video from our ministry staff. And our website – – will always be the place you can go for the most updated information.
We’re Excited That The Grace Crossing Church Office Has Now Re-Opened For Regular Office Hours
However, we need to inform you that the entrance to the Church Offices has changed. Since State Guidelines require that the main entrance to Grace Crossing Academy be limited and controlled, you can now enter the Church Offices from a door on the east side of the building. Just follow the signs.

And should you need to contact any of our ministers and staff, you can email them directly from the Grace Crossing website or call the main Church Office number at 936-442-5700.
An Encouraging Word – Let’s face it. We’re in challenging times – Some say the most challenging times of their lives! Covid-19, Economic concerns, Unemployment and Racial tensions – Injustice and Protests. Anxiety is high – There’s a general sense of uneasiness.

And so, we wonder, How will we get through this? How will we get through this?
Here is what I believe: Whatever it is—you’ll get through this! You think you won’t. But we all do. We fear the depression will never lift, the yelling will never stop, the pain will never leave. We wonder, will this gray sky ever brighten?
The story of God is the story of God getting his people through stuff! Our God delivers! It’s out of the lion’s den for Daniel, the belly of a fish for Jonah, the grave for Lazarus, the prison for Peter and the shackles for Paul. God gets us through stuff! Through the wilderness, through the valley of the shadow of death. Through is a favorite word of God’s. Isaiah 43:2 says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned. . .”
We need to hear that God’s power and abilities are not diminished! We need to hear that it’s not over until God says so. We need to hear that life’s mishaps and tragedies are not a reason to bail out.
Corrie ten Boom said, “When the train goes through a tunnel and the world gets dark, do you jump out? Of course not. You sit still and trust the engineer to get you through.”
So, how do we get through discouragement? Go back and remember God’s story through scripture. Be reminded that you aren’t the first person to face anxious times. And you aren’t the first person to be helped by God’s power and grace! Remember the story – And remember the story is yours!
We have lots of Family Matters – And since our church family does matter, don’t forget: We have 3 virtual baby showers ongoing! Show those families some love! And our Children’s and Youth Family Ministries will soon be hosting an Outdoor Movie Night! Be sure to check out our website and church emails for all the details!
