The Top 5 Things You Need to Know to Stay Connected with the Grace Crossing Family

Updated 03-25-2020
We find ourselves in a somber and unprecedented season. People around the world are full of uncertainty and worry. Those who rarely feel anxiety are suddenly weighed down in fear. There is much we do not know…

However, there is much we do know! We know that our God is bigger than the COVID-19 Pandemic. We know that our creating, sustaining and loving Lord has seen humanity through plagues and crises throughout history. In Jesus, we know that our eternally ultimate problems are reconciled and redeemed. By the indwelling Holy Spirit, we know God is still transforming us into his people! Please know that the Grace Crossing family loves you and we are committed to relying on our God and serving you through this time in a variety of ways. Please be aware of the following:

All Activities at the Grace Crossing Building Remain Suspended – We certainly miss being together in Worship and Ministry, but for now, we are doing our part to flatten the curve of virus exposure as Good Neighbors. So be sure to join us online at www.Gracecrossing.church this Sunday in another Virtual Worship Experience. Because even when we’re Scattered, we’re just as much the church as when Gathered! And although our Staff is not at the Building, our Office is fully functional and working in a Remote Format. Our main office number is: 936-442-5700. General office messages can be emailed to Jessica Legan and she will distribute as needed. Feel free to call or email if we can serve you! So…

Please Stay Connected! – Our elders met in a Video Conference and they remain ready to serve all members through their Shepherding Groups. They are praying for you and are available if you need anything. Also, if you are in a Life Group, link up with your people and plan how you will stay in contact. You can go to the Zoom website and set up your own free Zoom Video Conferencing Account for up to 40 minutes of free VidCon at a time. Or, if you wish to schedule a church group VidCon through the Grace Crossing account, email Jessica Legan for details. This is also a great time to make sure that your GC Connect Profile is updated and accessible to other members so we can all stay connected. You should have already received an email about that. Grace Crossing is a United Family and Families stay Connected!

Focus on Your Family! – Moms and Dads, many of us are at home with children and it is a great time to remember Deuteronomy 6: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. To help you Disciple your children, Emily and Kevin have provided some great Family Resources that are available on our website. Be sure to check those out!

Counseling At The Crossing is Available – It’s easy to neglect our emotional and mental health during a crisis. But the counselors of Counseling at the Crossing and Shield Bearer have implemented Telehealth Technology (with video and phone) to make counseling care available. For more information or to schedule a session with a counselor – please contact Nikki Villarreal. And, finally…

God Loves You and So Does Your Grace Crossing Family! – You are a loved child of God and our God is bigger than this crisis! So, it’s Wisdom over Worry, Faith over Fear, Prayer over Panic and Above all things Love! Until next time Grace Crossing Church… Go be that United Family that Loves God, Loves People and Follows Jesus Into the World!
