What is Project Nehemiah 2:18?

Go back to the Old Testament for a moment… When the walls of Jerusalem fall, Nehemiah lives into God’s mission by leading the rebuilding effort. This huge project is only accomplished because everybody gets involved – different groups commit to rebuilding a piece of the project – a section of the wall. That is our calling. And it is our challenge to you! Nehemiah 2:18 – Let us rise up and build!

How can we help?
We need workers – people willing to take a few days and come to Houston to help people rebuild flooded homes. So, can you partner with a few others to make a trip to Houston to help rebuild flooded homes?  We’ve partnered with awesome organizations such as One Kingdom and Live Beyond to maximize our effectiveness. We have 2 construction professionals, Rick Kness and Colin Wetherelt, that will oversee each project and coach our incoming volunteers.

I’ve never built a house before!
If you can lift a hammer or push a broom we need you! There is a position for everyone on the Team! Our experienced professionals will coach you in everything from general clean-up, to hanging sheetrock, and other necessary jobs. Or, if you have any specialized skills such as electrical or plumbing – please let us know – we need you on the Team!

How do we get started?
Contact James Woodroof, our Volunteer Coordinator, at the link above or call 615-497-4999. He will answer your questions and schedule your trip to Houston.
